Today in this post I will try to review the “Registry First Aid” registry cleaner software from Rose City Software. The review which I do in this blog will not similar other blogs which you found online. Whatever the review I write in this blog will be my honest review, and not to sell the product and to make money.

Registry First Aid Review:

Introduction:

Registry First Aid registry cleaner software is a product of rose city software. Like most other registry cleaner software, it is also one of them in the list. It is not a free registry cleaner. You to have to purchase it at $27.95. It do comes with 30 days trial version with limited functionality.

Is it is a Scam Registry Cleaner?

No, it’s not a scam registry cleaner. I have a standard license of Registry First Aid which I’m able to grab from the one of the giveaway. After using registry first aid registry cleaner on my system for few days I can honestly say it is not a scam product. But there are few pros and cons are there with this product which I will discuss in this post.

Two types of license:

Registry first aid comes with two types of license.

1. Standard Version:

The standard version comes with basic tools which is required to perform fixing registry errors. In this version you can use 5 tools like

Check the Registry for Errors, Compress Registry, Create Full Registry Backup, Restore Registry From a Full Backup and Restore From .reg Backup Files.

which is sufficient for basic users. If are an advanced user then are required to upgrade standard version to platinum version.

 

2. Platinum Version:

In platinum version you will get advanced option compared to standard version license. The tools like,

Search the Registry, Registry Snapshots and Manage Registry.

will be unlocked if you purchased platinum version.

In Manage Registry you see even more option like

Auto Start programs, Uninstall Programs, “Open with..” dialog and Internet Explorer

options are available.

 

 

All these tools have an excellent options which is must have for an advanced users. We can perform similar operation with other freeware products too, but having all those in one isn’t great? I love these tools. Even though I cannot use it because I have only Standard version, but I know what these tools actually do.

In,

Auto Start Programs: This is really a great tools I can say. With this option you Enable and Disable which tools/software to run on windows startup.

You can get similar option in freeware tools too like CCleaner.

Uninstall Programs:  Used to uninstall programs which is installed on your computer. You can manage this option with default windows uninstaller option.

Open With Dialog: With open with dialog option, you can manage which programs you need to enable and disable in “open with” option.

Internet Explorer: I really loved this tool, here you can mange almost everything which you customized knowingly, unknowingly on your internet explorer browser in a easy to understand user interface. You can Remove toolbars, Extensions etc., easily.

All these which comes with platinum license of registry first aid software can be get it even with freeware products. The thing is, you may need to install 2 to 3 extra software on your computer to use those option.

If you’re not a advanced computer user then you can avoid buying platinum license. Or if you don’t want to spend any extra penny then search on Google you’ll defiantly find some alternative tools.

 

Registry Error Finding Capacity:

Till now we have looked towards options which are available in registry first aid software. Now it’s time to coming to the main area, i.e., error finding capacity.

When I installed this for the first time on my PC I thought that this software is much similar to free registry cleaners. But after scanning for errors, I was really shocked to see the error finding capacity.

After scanning errors in registry first aid software it found almost 478 Registry Errors. I manually checked for the errors whether these errors are scam errors or real errors and after checking I found that all errors are valid errors. So no scam errors at all.

Instead of fixing those errors what I did was, I performed similar registry scan with one of the most popular free registry cleaner software called “CCleaner”.

And the result?

It is able to detect only 28 Errors!!

 

 

 

 

So with this result I confirmed that Registry First Aid registry cleaner perform excellent registry scan without any doubt.

 

Safety:

I’m not going to say every registry cleaner software performs 100%  accurate work. It is always better to keep backup of registry entry when we are going to perform registry scan.

Registry first aid (RFD) take care of backup of registry data automatically when you perform a scan. It even create system restore point before running a registry scan. This backup feature is one of the must have requirements in every registry cleaners. You check with CCleaner, you will notice that it don’t include any backup options.

If some disaster strikes to your computer, then you can always restore it from backup which is automatically created before performing registry scan.

There are different types of registry backup option can be found in this software.

You can create registry backup and also you are able to restore from that registry backup which you have created.

In registry Backup option you will find,

Create Full Registry Backup, Restore Registry from a Full Backup and Restore From .reg Backup Files.

These options helps to recover from any disaster. So if something went wrong with your registry you always have a backup to recover.

 

 

 

User Interface:

This software doesn’t comes with Excellent GUI (Graphical User Interface) which usually you can found on scam software.

But, this software is designed with minimal design and don’t comes with any fancy interface. Every user can easily understand how to work with this software. There is no such complexity in interface to deal with.
